Minister? Yes, I Officiate Weddings

Don’t freak out, I’m don’t do this for a living. Yes, I know, I’m a jack-of-all-trades. I’ve had to diversify professionally (and in the labor force) just to keep my acting dreams alive. Honestly, moments like this make me wish I had a trust fund… lol.

But here’s the thing: I’ve only officiated two weddings in my life, and both were pure magic. No cookie-cutter scripts here, I simply poured my heart into every word. My friends trusted me completely to craft the ceremony, and I’m so grateful for that. Both experiences were transformative, for them and for me.

In early November, I officiated my high-school bestie’s wedding. She married a sweet, kind German guy, and the ceremony was a beautiful chaos of English, Spanish, and German—all woven together without a single translation pause (per the groom’s request). Creative freedom level: 100. Minister Certification? Finally getting some use! And doing it for one of my Mexico’s bestie, Magdala Fritz? Next-level honor.

The love, laughter, and praise I received from both the wedding and the bachelorette exceeded my wildest dreams. I got my friends married, and I loved it. Here’s to marriages filled with love, growth, and always choosing each other! Cheers!
